THE CHALLENGE
A large-scale international manufacturing business of Fasteners. Now under private equity investment and with aggressive growth targets in place, this client engaged us to start them on their environmental compliance journey. They did not know where to start, were resource constrained and wanted simplicity and structure brought to work. Compliance and mitigating risks were key to them on their growth journey.
WHAT WE DID
We used the Quick-Start Diagnostic approach at the start of their journey as they wanted to review work already underway, as well as scope specifically a data insight rich journey and needed help to define the work and path forward. We have now been working with this client for over 6 months.

THE CHALLENGE
We worked directly with the Zinc Leadership team on their wider business strategy as scarcity of resources became a defining factor shaping their business. Using a diagnostic approach, we scoped the work to understand the boundary conditions, the current state and market insights before undertaking a programmatic scope of work that had a major focus on risk and growth through sustainability management.
THE OUTCOME
We delivered the strategy, and we then developed that into a programme of work still running today to deliver the value and meet the ambitions. Some of the work led to decisions to sell certain assets and build a growth strategy in certain geographies that met environmental compliance criteria to avoid risk and cost.

Leading Global Jewellery Retailer
THE CHALLENGE
Our client wanted to first, explore how they could embed sustainability at the heart of their product offering. Second, they wanted to understand what was happening enterprise wide in sustainability. Each market was following its own path, and the leadership wanted to get a holistic view to make decisions on what to stop, start and continue.
WHAT WE DID
We used the Quick-Start Diagnostic to show the Executive Committee what was happening and where and at what cost in the company. This enabled them to take a more structured and cost-effective approach. Our recommendations from the diagnostic led them to restructure their existing plans and formulate a new set of sustainability goals. We also helped to reposition their lab grown diamonds as “sustainable lab grown diamonds” to enhance their brand

THE CHALLENGE
Our client was being asked for their carbon footprint and emissions data by customers and were curious around how to quickly transform themselves into a forward-thinking agency with sustainability at its heart. They asked us to come and run our Quick-Start Diagnostic to identify priorities and gaps.
WHAT WE DID
We ran the Diagnostic to identify priorities and also stop work that was happening and was not making a difference to the agency or customers. We assessed their carbon footprint so they could report in line with SECR requirements this year. We educated some of the leadership team on the resulting plans and strategy which they embedded into the group strategy

THE CHALLENGE
One of the largest renewable energy and oil and gas companies in the world. Using our Quick-Start Diagnostic and pilot approach to scope, de-risk and get things moving fast with a quick line of sight on delivery, we worked directly into the Executive Team to develop a branch of their Environmental Strategy on "how do we help our customers to decarbonise?".
WHAT WE DID
This work surfaced new business models, new sources of income and opportunities in the market across the downstream and manufacturing businesses. The Quick-Start Diagnostic helped to lay out the problem statements and vast landscape, in order to place boundaries around the scope and select the right mix of people and skills to develop this strategy and resulting program of work.
