Spring into Action

What is ‘Spring into Action’?

A six to nine week programme to create a sense of energy and focus for your teams in the New Year or the start of a new financial year. So, whether you can have your team off in one 3 hour workshop run by a trainer or 9 x 20 minute sessions run by the team manager, you can get real results, really quickly.

This strikingly simple team-based learning solution will enable your trainers to deliver an immediate workshop, or, your managers to take proactive charge in directing their teams to develop their contribution in a way that adds value beyond your expectations in this tough financial climate. ‘Spring into Action’ operates on three levels to make your difference:

  • What can I do to boost my own performance
  • How can I help my colleagues?
  • How can my colleagues help me?

Purpose of ‘Spring into Action’

The purpose of this programme is to encourage teams to shrug off the sluggishness that often accompanies the new year and ‘Spring into Action’ with new goals, new plans, a renewed team spirit and that all important commitment to make it happen. Alternatively it is just as powerful at the start of a new financial year when you really want staff to recommit to attaining new goals.

The result?

Increased personal satisfaction, leading to greater productivity, and a keener understanding of the impact of their actions on customer satisfaction ratings and business results. To do this there are a series of short activities that explore how individuals and teams can interact with each other and the business to deliver beyond current expectations.

One happy customer from Scottish and Southern Energy, Ryan Sadler, their Customer Service Training Manager, Ryan Sadler said:

10 reasons to buy Spring into Action

  1. Me me me, I want to deliver it now!
Your internal people can deliver the programme immediately after a short train the trainer so you don’t have to wait to gain the benefits – order today and next week you will start noticing the difference in your KPI’s
  2. Knowing why you do what you do!
Enables staff to connect with business objectives in a way that makes them say “I get that, now what do I have to do!”
  3. Team work rules OK!
No matter how individual your work processes, people need people. A team supporting each other, always outperforms a group of individuals. Spring into Action forges this strength to make a different to your business
  4. Stop the silos!
A business that has strong inter-departmental relationships makes things happen and improves. This programme will enable that to happen quickly and with maximum co-operation
  5. Do something…NOW!
Everyone has moans and groans about work. Rather than stifling them, through the programme we enable these to be voiced and resolved or to be accepted as the ‘way it is’. Either way, the issue is dealt with and staff can move on. We stop people feeling it is ok to have a moan and do nothing……. The action plan process ensure that change takes place where it is needed
  6. Innovate or die!
Today more than ever we need to innovate to help customers distinguish us from our competitors. Often the simplest and most valuable ideas come from those closest to customers. ‘Spring into Action’ is a great mechanism to encourage these ideas to flow
  7. What’s in it for me?
While it is absolutely crucial that everyone understands the goals and values of the business, it is also important that they are clear about their personal goals and motivation. The highest performers in any organisation will be ones that are not only meeting the needs of the business but also their own personal needs. We encourage people to look at these personal goals. And, if they are not currently being met then to take steps that do something about it.
  8. Fighting fit
Simple things like drinking more water can make a BIG difference to productivity. Whilst this might sound obvious, some people don’t know and others need a reminder. ‘Spring into Action’ challenges staff to make some healthy choices to aid their productivity and feel good factor at work!
  9. Start with the end in mind
Business has become increasingly complex and information rich with staff hooked into what they need to do (the process) rather than what they need to achieve (the outcome). Maybe if staff considered whether a customer is thrilled at the end of each call, their positive approach to customers may improve? ‘Spring into Action’ keeps asking “why?” so they know the reasons behind any action to which they commit
  10. Let’s get a buzz
Sometimes just the act of getting together and knowing you are making a difference can generate that feel good factor. Spring into Action becomes your perfect anecdote to a sluggish performance.
