The Leaps and Bounds approach to learning
We have developed a way of working that supports the skills and qualities that individuals need in order to be successful in business today. The following will give you a feel for how we will work with you and your people.
Freedom within a framework
World class companies are those who encourage freedom within a framework so that staff can develop a sense of responsibility and autonomy over making a difference in the scope of their work. The way we work encourages people to think, analyse their situation and then take the best action for the customer and the business.
Creation not consumption
All too often training spoon feeds information into people as a relatively passive process. Our approach makes learning a creating process, in which staff learn for themselves rather than because someone tells them. This means that they fully own the learning and are more committed and confident to taking action when they return to work.
Making the complex simple
We make new information simple so that it is easy to transfer back to the workplace, with confidence. We work with you to determine what is important and what isn’t.
It’s about the outcome and not how you get there
At Leaps and Bounds we recognise there are many ways to get to the end result and our aim is to ensure that we get there in the simplest, quickest and most cost effective way.
Creating a community spirit and individual voice (relationships matter)
People need to feel safe when learning and learning in a group helps this by reducing stress levels, encouraging exploration and a bouncing around of ideas. They also want recognition and the opportunity to show what they are made of so it is important that each individual is also allowed to shine.
The best rules are those that are bent to fit
Rules are important to provide a framework but sometimes someone different has a unique and useful slant on how to apply that rule. It is by challenging the status quo that your organisation will continue to grow and nurture your talents.
