Your management strengths

Our aim is always to provide you with useful tools and ideas that support  you to bring out the best of yourself and those around you at work.

As such, for those of you who enjoy psychometric tests and quizzes, the Chartered Institute of Management (CMI) have brought out a wonderful app that allows you to explore your management style – and I’d love to know how you get on. It consists of 12 simple questions and regardless of the outcome, the questions make you think, quickly, about some simple changes you can make to help you be the best leader you can be. Oh dear, yes I was surprised. Apparantly I’m like Alex Ferguson – can’t see it myself.

As someone on the site (who interestly also came out as Mr Ferguson!)asked ‘How academically rigorous is it?’

The response was ‘…it is loosely based on academic work, but it should be taken as intended, a bit of fun to spark debate.’

Well it certainly got me wondering – which is always a good thing and also reminded me of a recent trainingzone article on mobile learning. This is just the sort of thing people would complete to while away the commute home.

I got Victoria Beckham. I don’t think I want to think too deeply about that one …

    Nice link Caroline.

Like Sheila, I came out as Jamie Oliver. Unfortunately, I’m not worth £65m :(

I can’t get apps on my phone so I think I come out as a Luddite. :-)
